Prem Rawat has spoken in 50 countries and 250 cities around the world. His message of inner peace has inspired more than 9 million people in 50 nations.
He has addressed audiences at the Sydney Opera House, New York Lincoln Centre and Royal Albert Hall.
Among other notable events, he spoke at the Parliament House in Canberra, Australia, at the occasion of the U.N. International Day of Peace. The U.N. 60th Anniversary Committee invited him to deliver the keynote address at their celebration in San Francisco, in the Herbst Theater, where the U.N. charter was signed. San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom proclaimed June 16 "Prem Rawat Day.
He spoke to audiences at University of California, Berkeley; University of Colorado, Boulder; Harvard University, Oxford University, Thammasat University, and University of Salamanca.
Prem Rawat was born in India and was four years old when his public addresses were first published.
Prem Rawat is sometimes called Maharaji, an honorable title.
Prem Rawat's words are regularly broadcast via satellite in 50 countries and 45 languages. Maharaji's message is made available also via internet radio 24 hours a day in more than 15 languages.
In the past month, Prem Rawat, known worldwide as Maharaji, has addressed more than 1.7 million people at events throughout rural India. He traveled to many places where people had never seen him before, in the states of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Haryana.
